A Day out with Aunt Kate and Shara

My sister Katelyn watched Triston last week and took him
and her daughter Shara to Day Break lake. They had a blast
playing in the water and sand with each other. They play
so well together that they act like brother and sister. I am
so glad that Triston has close cousins to play with.

Triston thought it was funny that Aunt Katelyn
buried his legs in the sand, but it didn't last long.

Katelyn Burying Shara.
She didn't mind it as much as Triston,
she only lasted about 2 minutes longer than Triston.

Silly Shara,
she found someones goggles on the beach
and decided to put them on. She is so funny she cracks me up!

The kids took over someones tubes that they
found on the beach.
They had so much fun with them.
Cute little Shara with her tube that is twice her size!

First time at Lagoon

On August 8th Chris' work (Jacobson's construction) had a Lagoon day. It was fun. I have never been to Lagoon since I have been married to Chris, so I haven't been there for probably 10 years. It has changed quite a bit. We ended up not getting there until after 12pm, which wasn't bad, we were just really hungry by the time we got there. Chris missed the exit and we had to back track, but we got there safe and sound. We ended up standing in line for food for about 20 minutes, because they have slow teenagers running the food court. It was very annoying. We finally got to ride some of the rides, but we ran into a problem, Triston freaked out every time we put him on a ride. I don't know what his problem was. The only ride he really liked was the car ride, and the train. I thought that he would have fun going on the carousel, but he cried the whole time. I think that he was very tired. He rode the car, Puff the magic Dragon, Odyssey, carousal and the tiki boat. He tried the helicopter, the little boats, the whales with no success. We brought our swimming suits, but it was to cold to swim. Bummer! Chris ended up going on the Bat, Spider and we both went on the Wicked rollercoster. Chris' work had a catered dinner for us, but we were a little disappointed, it was just hamburgers and hot dogs. It wasn't bad, but if I know that it would have been hamburgers I would have got something different for lunch. All in all we had a good time. Maybe next time we will go when he is a little bit older.

Triston driving his car! He was so excited that he cuted in front of all the other kids.

The family on the Cho Cho Train, Triston wasn't happy that we got on at first,

but he ended up enjoying it.

Dad took Triston on Puff the Magic Dragon. He was pretty scared,
but we made him do it anyways.

Fun in the Sun

My sister-in-law Mindy invited us to go to Oquirrh Lake last week we had so much fun! Triston loved playing in the sand and splashing in the water. We stayed there only for a couple of hours because my sister Katelyn invited us to go see the new Harry Potter movie. We had a very busy day! Here are some pictures of our fun day.

Triston in the Sun! It was so bright out that day.

Temple Open House

I am a activities days leader for girls age 10 and 11 in my ward. For one of our activities we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. It was beautiful inside. I had a hard time keeping up with the girls, because I stayed back with Triston and his little legs. He behaved really well. He only had a couple of moments; one was when he wanted to go swimming in the baptismal font and another one was when he wanted to touch the sealing bench. He also wanted a drink while we were in the sealing room, which I caved in and gave it to him. At least he wasn't screaming!

Rainy Family Vacation

Our Annual Swenson Family Vacation was a bit rainy this year. Chris and I went up to East Canyon on Saturday night. When we started heading up there the weather was over cast, but after about 10 minutes it was pouring. We ended up getting up there about 5 p.m. and after about another 15 minutes the rain decided to take a break. We decided to take a walk around the grounds and low and behold Triston found some water to play in. He was the happiest boy in the world. He loves to splash in water. We went over to the miniature golf course that they had, which was underneath a foot of water. It didn't matter to Triston, he just jumped right in, even though it was freezing.

Dancing in the puddles.

Silly boy!

Shara, Triston and Daxon

We decided it was time to stop after Triston all the sudden sat
down in the freezing water. He was drenched.
Triston and his wet butt!

We didn't do much, it wasn't the best weather, but we had family dinner and played the board game sorry with my 80 year old grandma. We had a blast I came in second and my Grandma won. We brought movies up for Triston to watch. I was worried about him because he likes water so much. They have a river that runs through the condominiums. On Sunday "Fathers day" the weather was a little better. We say blue skies for most of the day. I took Triston, Shara (niece) and Cash (nephew) to the playground. They had so much fun. On the way over, someone asked if they were triplets. I would kill myself if I had triplets. Triston and Cash are 2 and Shara turned 3 that day. Anyways here are some pictures of the play ground.

Mommy's little boy!

My sister was making a Birthday cake for Shara and she had to go to the local store in Morgan to get some icing. So I went with her, we drove around East Canyon Reservoir, it was pretty much full, which I have never seen. It has always been low. It looked really nice. When we got back. We went swimming. Triston had so much fun. He loved jumping off the side to me. He was so happy. We ended up only swimming for an hour then the rain clouds came back. We ended up leaving early because of the rain, and Chris wasn't feeling good the whole time we were there. We had good time for such a short vacation. We better go on another one soon!

What a Funky Rash!

Thursday night I was getting Triston ready for bed and I noticed a rash on his leg. It wasn't to bad. I went to get him some Benadryl, which I thought that it would help. Well the next day his rash got worse x3 all over his legs and arms and it started on his ears (weird huh). I ended up taking him in to the doctors and they stated that it could have been form the Amoxicillin. Chris is allergic to penicillin so he could be allergic. It finally went away by Sunday.

Triston's red swollen feet, it also went up his leg.

His hands were bright red and his rash was all over his left arm.

Rash on right arm.
I also noticed it on the outside portion of his ears. It was very weird.
