T-Ball 2011

This year I decided to put Triston in to T-ball. At first I didn't think that he liked it much, but I think that he warmed up to it. He played on the Dodgers with his cousins Cash and Shara. He did pretty good. The coach would try and pitch first to the kids and if they were unable to hit it then they would let the kids hit it off the T stand. Triston did ok, for not ever playing baseball before. He was able to hit a couple of times with out the T stand. He tried so hard to run fast, but he has little legs. He also has a short attention span, so we would have to redirect his attention a lot of the time. He is a funny kid, we would have to yell at him to start running or go after balls. He had so much fun playing baseball. He talks about it all the time.

April 2011 Photo Shoot

Since Hayden turned 3 months and Triston turned 4 years old. I decided to get pictures done. Triston was being a butt, but we were able to get some good pictures.

Hayden's Blessing

Hayden was given a name and blessing on March 6th 2011 by her Grandpa Mike. I was so nervous, because I was worried my Dad wouldn't get her name right. She was named after my Mom Kathryn, and I was afraid that he would say Swenson instead of Dent, but he didn't mess up. Chris was able to stand in the circle and then he held her up after to show her off.

It was funner to pick out a blessing dresses for her then for an outfit for Triston's blessing. I even made her hair band and it complemented her dress nicely. I wish that my mom could have been here to see it. I bet should would have been so proud of me, because I had to improvise and sew a lining into the dress free hand. It turned out better than I thought it would have. I feel like I am becoming my mom every day.

I ended up getting pictures in her blessing dress when I got her 3 month old pictures taken.

She looked so beautiful!

I wanted Triston to look nice to, so i bought him a suit to look good in at the blessing, but once we came home he took it off immediately. He looks like such a little man when he is wearing his suit.

I love this picture!

After the blessing we had brunch over at the house with our families. A few of the family members couldn't stay and had to leave right after the blessing. Because of that, I ended up having a lot of left over food. We had fun talking and holding Hayden. It was an awesome day.
Family members that came; Grandma Carol, Grandpa Richard, Katelyn, Shara, Baby Hunter, Sam, Mindy, Cash, Daxon, Alex, Amie, Gavin, my Aunt Pam and Uncle Dave. The family members that came to the blessing, but not the brunch; Fred, Jaelann, Grandma Billy, Aunt Pam Clark, and Aunt Collette.

Triston's 4th Birthday Family Party

We celebrated Triston's Birthday with the family on Sunday April 18th. I decided to make Lasagna with salad and garlic Bread. We of course had a Transformer Birthday party, I left up all the decorations up from the kid party and the balloons even stayed floating.

After everyone ate we let Triston open his presents. He was so excited. He pretty much got all transformer thing. He got a couple of Transformer robot, Transformer sheet set, and Transformer DVD.

Triston wanted a Optimus Prime cake, so of course I (the super mom) made one. This time it only took me 2 hours instead of the 6 hours it took me last year. I think that I am getting the hang of it. I was really sad when I had to cut in to it. All my hard work gone.
Family that came were; Grandma Carol and Scott, Papa Dent, Katelyn, Matt, Shara and Hunter, Sam, Mindy, Cash and Daxon. Alex's family was unable to make it.

Triston's 4th Birthday Kid Party

Happy 4th Birthday Triston!

This year Triston has been into Transformer. We have watched each movie about 200 times. So when it came to planning his Birthday party he had to have a transformer birthday. This year I started Early, because last year I ran out of time. I researched for party and birthday cake ideas. This year we just had a Birthday party at the house with my niece and nephews and some of my cousins kids. It was very hectic, but fun. We played several games and then we hit a pinata. We played pin the autobot symbol on Bumble Bee, Optimus prime says, Find the cube scavenger hunt. The pinata was pretty cool, it looked just like Optimus Prime. It was a tough pinata to break. Finally Daxon hit it hard enough that it broke. The kids had a lot of fun.

Daxon took off his leg after everyone took a couple of swings. Triston was being a brat and didn't want to take a turn, so I decided to help him.

I bought Optimus masks for everyone. They looked so cute! Triston had fun opening his presents. He got an Optimus costume, transformer toys, a book, a towel, a toy four wheeler and a train.
For his cake I decided to create one that I saw on the Internet. I bought the figurine's and decorated it the day off the party. It turned out ok, it took me a couple of tries to get the "Happy Birthday Triston" on it. I really need to go take a cake decorating class.

We had a lot of decorations. It was fun to decorate for someone so special to me. We kept the decorations up until we had the family birthday party on Sunday. Every day Triston asked me if he could have the Optimus Prim Balloon. I gave out party favors which included a bounce ball, nerf football, bubbles, crazy straw and stuffed some candy in them. Even though it was caos I thought that the party went very well.

Valentines 2011

We had a very eventful Valentine's this year! For starters it was Hayden's first Valentines and of course I had to buy her a cute outfit. It said "love bug" on the front of the onesie and the pants were red with white hearts. I even found her a bib that said "Mommy's valentine." She looked so cute, I even made a bow to match.

Mommy's cute little Valentine!

I decided to treat myself to my favorite breakfast French Toast. I even was being very creative and made them into heart shape. It look and tasted really good. I then decided to make some Valentines for my family so I made heart shaped brownies and heart shaped mini cheese cakes. They were also very yummy! I also make heart shaped valentines with my cricut from the kids. They turned out very cute!

My favorite Breakfast

Yummy valentine brownies!

My other favorite dessert, besides chocolate!

The kids and I hand delivered every one's valentines. We first went Alex's and Amie's house and then headed to my dad and sister Katelyn's house and gave them each a cheese cake. Triston gave Shara a valentines too! We then went to my Grandma Swenson's house. She loved the cute valentines. After my Grandma's we went over and saw Chris, Grandpa Richard and Brian and then went over and gave a valentine to Grandma Carol and Scott. We had a very busy night. We were all exhausted by the time we drove home. It was nice to show our family members how much we love them.

Triston loves to get his picture taken!

This year was Triston's first time handing out valentines to his preschool class. He decided to have transformer valentines. He had so much fun showing me what type of candy/presents he received at his preschool. He was so cute!
