Family Birthday Party

We had Triston’s Family Birthday Party on Sunday April 18th.

We decided to have tacos.
They were delicious.

Triston had fun opening all of his presents.

I made another Buzz Lightyear cake that took me 6 hours to pipe. I think that it turned out pretty good for my first decorative cake.

I also made a yummy cheese cake for everyone.

We invited the whole family; Grandpa Swenson, Papa Dent, Grandma Dent, Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, Sam’s family, Alex’s family, and Katelyn's family.

Happy 3rd Birthday Triston

Happy Birthday Triston

This year Triston had a Buzz Lightyear Birthday. He opened his presents from mom and dad in the morning. He ate his favorite breakfast scrambled eggs with cheese. Then we spent all morning playing with his new toys and getting ready for his Birthday party that afternoon.

Triston loved opening his presents.

This year he got:

1)Buzz Lightyear Blaster

2) Buzz Lighyear and Zurg talking action figures

3) A bubble machine with a big bottle of bubbles and some games.

I made Triston’s invitations this year and they turned out awesome.
Here is what it looked like.

I invited some of my friends and their kids, Kim and her 2 girls, Cindy and her 2 kids and my sister Katelyn and Shara and Mindy and Cash. For the activity we went to Jumping Jacks in West Jordan. The kids had fun climbing and sliding down the big slide. After we were exhausted we decided to head back to the house to open presents and have cake and ice cream. The kids had a so much fun!

The Gang

I tried to make a Buzz Lightyear cake, but I was a little late ordering the pan online to get here in time for his kid party, so I made a planet cake with Buzz Lightyear on top. It turned out ok, but I wish I would have had time to use fondant instead, but the kids liked it anyways. Triston was so impatient that after he blew out his candle he took one big lick of icing. I think that the party was successful, the kids had fun.

Growing Up So Fast!

My little boy is growing so fast! I can't believe he is so big. He loves to play with his train, Buzz Lightyear guns, and his car (which he is almost to big to ride). He loves to drive his power wheel, and he loves to help me with everything. He is such a big boy. He is talking up a storm and loves to watch movies and cartoons. It is fun to watch to watch his reaction to movies and cartoons. He is always laughing and smiling. He is trying to potty train, which he has his good days and bad. I love that he is such a cuddle bug. He is such a fun little boy!

Easter was a Bust!

This Easter was not very fun for Triston. He was still getting over croup and didn't feel well all day. He woke up two times through out the night and all he wanted to do was sit in our laps all day long. I felt so bad. Even though he wasn't feeling well the Easter Bunny gave him a Easter basket full of goodies, He got bubbles, candy and the princes and the frog movie. Unfortunately he wasn't into hunting for Easter eggs that morning. He didn't even notice them hidden around the house.

We ended up going over to my brother Sam's house for Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt with the family. By the time we got back home Triston was feeling a little better. After we got home he finally noticed some eggs hidden around the house. He only collected a few but he had fun opening them to see what was inside. We were exhausted and we decided to watch Princes and the Frog before we went to bed. It was not a very exciting day, but I am glad that Triston was feeling better.

Dinner was very yummy at Sam's house. His wife Mindy did most of the work. After dinner the kids had an Easter Egg hunt out side and Triston participated some what. He was not in a mood to mingle. He wouldn't even smile at the camera and he always likes his picture taken.

Our Poor Sick Baby!

Last week Triston started having a hard time breathing, so I took him into the doctors and he was diagnosed with Croup. Poor baby, he was struggling to breath. He was crying and saying that it hurt. It made us feel so sad, we didn't like seeing our baby hurting. He ended up getting steroids on Friday, but by Saturday he still wasn't doing so good. So Chris took him back to the doctors and they ended up epinephrine treatment. With this treatment it could cause Triston's airway to have the opposite affect so they wanted to watch him for 4 hours at the ER. So Chris ended up taking him to Riverton ER, so I meet them there. Here are a few pictures that I took. He still did crappy over the weekend, so we took him in again to the doctors on Monday. Finally he is starting to get better. We can finally get some needed sleep!

Poor kid! He hated this treatment. It didn't last long. If you look closely he is trying to wiggle the mask off by opening his mouth. Chris is holding his arms. By the time I got there Triston was very anxious so I ended up holding him to finish the treatment.

They ended up having to wrap the pulse ox to his foot so he wouldn't pull it off.

It is funny how happier when he can breath!

Triston always feels better in Mommy's arms!

Feeling better all ready.

Triston always feels better after a sucker!

He was getting restless so we found some toys to play with.

He loved this bead toy for some reason.

Triston got so antsy that he found his own toy to play with. He pretended that this stool was a car and was driving it up and down the halls of the ER. It wasn't too busy so I let him do it. He looked so happy.

He is going, going..........

gone!

Coloring Easter Eggs or Fingers?

This year I decided to let Triston color Easter eggs. Silly kid wasn't patient enough, he decided to put in as many eggs as the cup would hold. He had a blast. Luckily we had more un-cracked eggs than cracked. The only down fall was by the time we were done his fingers were multicolored.

Getting everything ready!

Triston was watching the tablets dissolve.

Silly Boy! He was so cute! We had fun.

I was trying to teach him how to use the egg holder.

He did pretty good by himself.

We tried to put the stickers on that came with the dye, but he didn't like the stickers on.

Here are our finished product. Aren't they beautiful!
