Playing in Legoland

Since we were in California we decided to take Triston to Legoland. Chris and I have never been there before, so we thought it would be fun. We rented a mustang convertible and drove down to Legoland. We got there a little late, but we decided to make the best of it. The first ride that we went on was Safari Trek. It was fun for Triston, because he LOVES to drive a car. The lego animals were pretty cool looking. We then tried to go on a roller coaster that was close by, but they didn't let Triston ride on, because of his height. So we decided to go on a boat ride, but when we got up to the front the ride broke down. We were having much luck!

.

We went over to a play town and Chris and Triston took a ride on the Legoland Express. It was kind of lame, but Triston liked it. We let him play for a while, then we decided to go on a couple of more rides. Here are a couple pictures of my silly monkey climbing all over everything!

We know that he loved to drive a car, so we faked his age to 3 years old and let him drive a car around on a race track. He did OK, but he is not very coordinated. He couldn't push the peddle and drive at the same time, but he did make it half way down the race track before time was up. He then got a drivers license which he sat down on a bench and investigated it for a couple of minuets. He is a funny little kid!

We then went and rode on the helicopters which Triston couldn't get enough of. So after I went on it with him, he had to drag his dad to go on it again. He cracks me up, because he couldn't even reach the controller that moved the helicopter up and down and around in a circle. His laughter and smiles were priceless. He was in heaven! We went down to Fun Town Fire Academy and our family won first place in a race of 3 other families. We were awesome! After that Chris took Triston on an airplane ride I am not sure if he liked it, but we made him go on it anyways!

We walked around for a little while and finally came to a place called the "Hideaways." It was a playground with nets to climb, slides to slide down and much more. Luckily it had stairs throughout so I didn't have to climb through anything. Triston had so much fun! He didn't want to leave.

We then went to Mini USA, It was awesome! I always wanted to make a city out Lego's. They had the Golden Gate Bridge, Daytona Raceway, New York City, Las Vegas Strip, Washington D.C. and much more. It thought it was pretty cool! I don't think that Triston enjoyed it as much as I did.

Then we went to a "Build and Test" area and played with Lego's. Triston had fun, but I think Chris had the most fun. He decided to build Triston's name in Lego's. It look cool, but Triston didn't want his picture taken by it. He was not having it!

New at Legoland, or by Legoland is a new marine life aquarium called "Sea Life." It was fun, Triston was about to see a giant lobster, bigger than his head! He was also was able to feel a star fish an a Hermite crab. He had fun looking at all the different kinds of fish. We saw Nemo and his Dad and we saw sing rays and sharks. It was fun look at everything, but we had to go through it fast, because it closed at 8 p.m. We then started heading home and Chris decided to take the top off of the convertible so we drove with it down for a while, it was soooooo cold, so we decided to put it back up before we jumped back onto the freeway. I only wish that we would have gotten there sooner, because I felt like we had to rush everything.

Triston & Mom playing in Disneyland

Chris, Triston and I took a family vacation to Anaheim California in August for another visit to the Magical Kingdom. Chris was able to get tickets for the Blizzcon gaming conference (Creator of World of War craft). So I decided that it wasn't fair for him to go on vacation by himself, so I decided to take Triston back to the Magic Kingdom to see Mickey. We decided to fly this time instead of drive, I don't know what is worse, because traveling with a little kid is some what challenging. You have so much crap that you have to bring.

Anyways we arrived on Thursday and settled in. Chris had to get his ticket for the conference so Triston and I decided to go with him. What a mistake. It was the longest line ever. We stood there for over 2 hours, just for Chris to get his ticket. On Friday Chris went to his conference and Triston and I went to Disneyland.

Me and Triston with Mickey

I decided this year to take Triston to a Character breakfast. We went to Breakfast in the park with Minnie and Friends. He had so much fun with all the characters. We saw Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too! We saw Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, Chip and Dale, Captain Hook, Goofy's son Max and of course Minnie Mouse. Triston had fun dancing with them and touching there noses. He was really cute with them. Definitely worth it!

After breakfast it was time to ride some rides. Triston wasn't to excited to ride the rides, but once we got into the car at Autopia he got excited right away! He couldn't even see over the dash board, but that didn't stop him. He had so much fun driving a car. He had the biggest smile on his face. We went on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster and of course he love to shoot a gun, he didn't do so bad. Of course we had to get the Astro Blaster gun after the ride, and now it is one of his favorite toy.

We went on Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, he loved the bubbles
and looking for Nemo and his friends.

We went over to Critter Country, well Triston decided to take a nap and so I decided to ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, thinking that he would wake up when we got on, but he didn't he slept through the whole thing.

Triston missing the action!

Triston slept for a while so I decided to people watch until he woke up. After he woke up I decided to go the the Pirates lair on the island. Triston had a blast going through caves and running across the bridges. I had to hold him us so he could look out of the telescope. He had so much fun!

We went over to Toon Town and drove the cars, went to Goofy's house, Donald boat, Chip and Dales Tree house and Mickey's house. We didn't go on any rides, because it was close to closing time, but we were able to
see Mickey again.

I wanted to see some of the show in California Adventures, because we were unable to go to any last year. I took Triston to Play House Disney show. He was a little grumpy, but after it started he got into the show. He loved seeing Mickey and his friends, Handy Manny and his tools and Winnie the Pooh and friends. He was jumping up and down when Handy Manny fixed the bubble machine and bubbles fell down from the ceiling.

Triston Loves Lighting McQueen and Mater, so we decided to go and see them. Triston decided that they needed to be washed. Silly boy!
In California Adventures in a Bugs Life there is several water splash area's that kids can play in. Triston loves to play in water, he had a blast.

We waited in the longest line ever at Toy Story Mania, but it was the funnest. It was 3-D arcades, but they didn't fit on Triston's head, but he still did pretty good shooting at all that targets. I only wish that it was a longer ride.

Triston and I had a blast. I would definitly want to go back just the two of us!
